Chef Peter & Kristen Kenney bring decades of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Chef Pete worked in some of St. Augustine’s most iconic kitchens before opening Purple Olive in 2004. Kristen has worked in hospitality for 30 years, starting at prestigious South Florida resorts and eventually owning and operating her own breakfast-and-lunch restaurant. The Kenneys also own and operate Beach Bagels, located on St. Augustine Beach.

Since 2004

Chef Peter Kenney opened Purple Olive in 2004 on St. Augustine Beach, where it served an eclectic menu of beloved dishes out of an intimate restaurant space for 21 years. Purple Olive moved to Anastasia Island in 2025, remodeling the old Gypsy Cab Company building. Purple Olive also supports a thriving catering business and is a preferred vendor with St. Augustine’s most coveted wedding venues.
